We participate in Achema, the world forum for the process industries

This 2022 we have travelled to Germany: After participating in national fairs, we have travelled to Frankfurt to participate in the world’s largest event for the process industry, ACHEMA. The fair was held at the Frankfurt Messe from 22nd to 26th August.

This fair was postponed in 2020 due to the global pandemic. The dates chosen for this year have fallen in the middle of August and, although they do not seem to be the best for the public of southern Europe, it has been a unique opportunity!

Epidor Seals & Rubber Technology is proud to have participated in the world’s largest industry trade show for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

A satisfactory event

ACHEMA has counted in this event with about 2,200 exhibiting companies from more than 50 countries, who gathered at the impressive fairgrounds in Frankfurt, Germany and managed to attract more than 100,000 visitors. 

This edition has offered conferences with more than 600 different sessions on a wide variety of topics within six main categories; the hydrogen economy, digitalization in the process industry, novel bioprocesses and technologies, new developments in production, fossil-free production and perspectives in laboratory and analytics.

As described by Alberto Cantarero, Epidor Seals & Rubber Technology sales manager, “Being present at ACHEMA gives us a deeper understanding of the possibilities and needs of our customers in the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Although at the beginning there was a feeling of lower attendance of visitors and exhibitors than in previous events, its magnitude reflects the importance of this event. We have been able to share this impression, together with our customers present there, that there have been quality visits and meetings. In times of uncertainty, opportunities and future projects have been generated. I sincerely believe that it has been a very powerful fair in terms of knowledge sharing, where I have been able to contrast the need for product specialists“.

This fair has also been presented as an excellent opportunity to discover the rest of the market players. This is the case highlighted by Javier Perez, purchasing manager of the company: ”Participating in an exhibition of the size of ACHEMA 2022, allows us to bring our product closer to the sector, of course. But it also helps us to know, understand and share the current market situation and future trends at all levels, from the raw material manufacturer to the end user, including the processing companies where Epidor Seals and Rubber Technology is located. Overall, it has been a positive experience, both in terms of contacts and information on products and services.

During our stay at ACHEMA, we have offered our customers information about our full range of services and products, providing them with all kinds of solutions for the sealing of systems and equipment. A perfect tandem guaranteeing our experience in the sector since 1965.

Antoine, business manager Epidor Seals & Rubber Technology, said that ”it was a real pleasure to be able to travel again and meet professionals from the sector. The drop in attendance due to the dates has been largely replaced by visits from the exhibitors themselves. We are fortunate that we sell to manufacturers of capital goods with whom we were sharing the hall. In addition, it is always very positive to share space, time and experience with another company of our group, EPI Industries. This time, we went with our colleagues from Lidering GmbH, specialists in mechanical seals for the German market, who have helped us a lot in the whole organization. We also see with great satisfaction that sustainability is more and more present in the technical talks and proposals of the companies, which reinforces our position in this sense, reflected in our purpose: “Helping the Industry to build a sustainable future“.
