They are used to handle objects.

Vacuum suction cups: vacuum driven which, once switched off, releases the suction cup from the object. The product range includes suction cups that adhere to curved surfaces, suction cups with internal and external threads, suction cups with 2 and 3 bellows and plate suction cups.

Pressure suction pads: these suction pads only need to be pressed against the surface to be stuck. An impulse of compressed air on the metal ball causes the object to be quickly detached. In addition, no additional clamping elements are required, a mounting flange is sufficient. If the ball is removed, they can be used as vacuum suction pads.

The selection of the appropriate suction cup is made taking into account the necessary connection force between the suction cup and the object to be moved.

The magnitude of the force depends on:

  • Surface of the suction cup. The larger the surface area, the greater the force.
  • Vacuum level. The higher the vacuum level, the greater the force.
  • Surface finish of the workpiece.
  • Porosity of the material.

Suction pads can be made in the most common elastomers such as NBR, NR, AU, FKM, silicone and CR, among other materials.
