O-Rings: O-Rings
A simple and economical sealing solution.
Elastomer O-rings must meet a number of requirements:
- Resistance to the fluid to be sealed: an increase in the volume of the material is allowed, but never a contraction of the material.
- Resistance to foreseeable temperatures during service.
- Resistance to wear and tear.
- Appropriate hardness, depending on the pressure.
- Sufficient resistance to permanent deformation.
The medium and the temperature at the application point of the O-ring determine the base material. Similarly, the pressure and the extrusion groove determine the hardness of the material.
We stock a variety of materials and sizes for O-rings: specially designed items; for urgent services (machined seals); non-standard dimensions (vulcanised seals) or conventional. Suitable for dynamic services at very low speeds.
