Specific criteria for the choice of your sealing solutions :
Non-toxicity:
It must be non-toxic, i.e. without risk to human health. There are several national and international standards that define or certify the materials that can be used. We have materials certified according to FDA, CE 1935/2004, 3A, USP, EHEDG, NSF standards.
Resistance:
They must be suitable not only for the product in contact, but also for chemical cleaning or disinfecting agents, or at high temperatures when steam sterilisation is used.
Design:
An aseptic seal cannot allow product to accumulate in pores or cavities, as this could become a source of bacteria and contamination of the finished product.
Colour:
For decades, the white colour has been used for sanitary applications, as it did not leave “traces” in the product. Today, blue is considered more suitable, as it allows the presence of pieces in the product to be visually detected. We also offer detectable materials for the most delicate applications.
Traceability and approvals:
A common requirement is the traceability of production batches and sample approvals. It is possible to obtain a set of approvals or EN 10204 3.1 type certificates.
